Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. the most common cause for recurrent fever in this age group is viral illness as there are no other symptoms. I suggest you not to use antibiotics for simple 2-3 days of fever without proper work up and blood culture. Taxim-O (Cefixime) is an antibiotic used for Typhoid fever and please do not misuse it. Antibiotic resistance in the community is on the raise. Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish you good health. Dr. Sumanth MBBS., DCH., DNB (Paed).,
