What Causes Residual Burning Sensations After An Yeast Infection?

I just got over a really bad yeast infection that I had to take over the counter meds that didn't help it clear up. I also got VERY irritated from it. I went to the doctors and she gave me 2 doses of Fluconazole and for the past couple days I have had small sudden (random) burn feel when I wipe. Should I go back to the doctors or wait and see if it clears up?
