What Causes Restriction In My Bowel Moments?

It feels like I have a restriction on my bowel movement, it doesn’t come all the way down like it use to and when I do go, the stool is hard and hurts on the biggest part of the movement and towards the end it gets soft. I have to strain hard to get it down to where it comes out. It isn’t easy to even pass gas.

I have taken laxatives and natural fruits to get a better movement and they work, It actually comes all the way down.

I had a doctor check me with a scope, and he found a polyp and remove it, he told me it was just starting so they got it early but he never said if I had any kind of restriction or not or any other problems.

Hello,

The common causes of initial hard stool followed by a soft one is more absorption of water from the foods you take in the morning and afternoon so that there is a hardening of stool. The part that you take in the night does not get so much time to have more absorption and hence the latter part of stool is soft. So nothing much to worry. You can take Isabgol husk in the morning with lots of water so that the initial stool the next morning may also be soft. Surely the natural laxatives like green leafy vegetables, whole fruits help for soft evacuation. You may take stool softeners in the morning and at bedtime too and while using these you will know the use, timing, and proper dosages to suit your requirement. You can also use glycerin suppositories in the morning to be inserted in the anus early in the morning before passing stool as it would help easy passage of stool and avoid the hardship of passing hard stools.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
