What Causes Ribcage Area And Shoulder Blade Pain, Cough With Phlegm?

Yes hi, for the last last three weeks or so ive been having pain on my upper right side of my lung/ribcage area and sometimes there is pain on my right side shoulder blade as well. This happens when I cough or sometimes move i am a smoker as well my job consist of me pulling and push heavy carts around. I guess my main thing I would be worried about is cancer, also for note when i do cough i do have phelm but no blood i also take an inhaler therefore i have a small case of asthma i guess what im asking could this be signs of possiable cancer or maybe strain

After going through your query I concluded that you may be having bronchitis with lung infection however this pain may be because of muscular sprain. You are worried about having cancer . It is unlikely to be cancer but it cannot be commented without lung x ray. So you can get your lung x ray and high resolution CT scan of chest done for further investigations.
