Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For over 3 weeks I have had pain on the right side. My doctor thought it was my Gall Bladder. I had negative ultra sound, had a HIDA scan yesterday that came back fine. I can hardly eat anything without lots of pain, I'm burping all the time, I'm tried all the time. What else can I have done to see if it is my gallbladder?
Your pain on the right side of abdomen has been present for last 3 weeks, ultrasound is negative for gallbladder and HIDA scan is normal hence this cannot be due to gallbladder problem. Hence we have to find another cause for such pain.
This can be due to the following reasons:
Colitis of transverse colon, needs stool tests. Gastritis, Duodenitis, with or without ulcer formation - needs an Upper GI Endoscopy.
