What Causes Right-sided Throat Swelling After Treating Cold And Swollen Tonsils?

My right side of my throat is swollen but not my tonsil it dosent hurt to swallow or anything what could it be just had a cold where left side tonsil was swollen and hurt to swallow a little for two days and went away on it s own could it be just a gland in my throat that is holding the sickness or something?
