What Causes Ringing In Ears After Being Treated For Fungal Ear Infection?

Hello Dr. Grief, I am a healthy, 47 year old woman. Last year, I had an ear infection, which the doctor classified as a fungus infection, that lasted over seven months. In that time, I took both oral and ear drop antibiotics. My infection has since been cured, but I continue to have ringing in my ears. Is there anything I can do about that?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Ringing in the ears is one symptom that it is mostly incurable.
You can please try alternative therapies like Acupuncture, yoga, meditation and so on.
You must have already be given the allopathic medicines and looks that they have not helped your tinnitus.
It is imperative to have the following:
MRI of the brain and the internal ears for possible structural problems causing tinnitus and
Audiometry.
If there is a treatable problem, get a the proper treatment.
