What Causes Ringing In Ears?

I have strong ringing in left ear and have lost ability to hear gradually over past 15 years. Now totally deaf in that ear. No longer form ear wax like other ear. Hear slight thumping when playing music very loud and right ear plugged. Use to listen to loud music but with both ears or earphones. Oh, had ENT Dr. said might be calcification of ear drum. Can anything be done?

Hi,
From history it seems that there might be having calcification of tympanic membrane or sclerosis of little three bones in middle ear giving rise conduction defect leading to hearing loss.
Consult ENT surgeon, surgery might needed for ear drum or auto sclerosis of 3 little bones
Ok and take care..
