What Causes Rise In Heart Rate During Workouts?

I am 48 year old female.this has been going on for what seems forever and I just compensate for it... but when I exercise my HR increases immediately and I breathe very heavy. jogging, lifting weights, cardio, taking one flight of stairs. I am about 20 lbs overweight but i noticed this even when i was not overweight.i am 5'1" and 150 lbs. I have worked out forever. Not much of a medical history.. always have good checkups. drink coffee 3x week. diet soda maybe 2x week

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern and looking to the history given here I could say that you have nor mentioned the heart rate how much this increase although any physical activity increases the heart rate this is the physiological phenomenon, still if you want to clear the doubt then you can go get done the cardiac evaluation this would clear the doubt, take care and have a nice day.
I find this answer helpful
