What Causes Rise In Heart Rate In Elderly Female?
Hi am a 50 year old african american female. I have suffered with high pressure for awhile. However, in the last 6 months with medication it has been more controlled. I took my bp for 1st time in about a month and it was 128/78 and my heart rate was 54. The heart rate is what concerned me. It's normally between 62-78.

I wanna assure you that don't worry as your blood pressure is very well controlled with your medicine and regarding your heart rate it's slightly on the lower side that's probably because some Blood pressure lowering meds also lowers heart rate. The thing which should be watched is that it should not go below 45 beats per minute.
