Hi I'm wondering I got a round bump at the bottom of my ear between the end of my jaw line were the neck meets... hope that makes sense... it dosent hurt at all ... just uncomfortable had it for a week ... went to doctors today and they said it wasent a throat or ear infection .. Wat is it ??
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain a round bump under the ear seems to be due to swelling of the lymph node and the most common cause of swollen lymph node is infection in the head and neck region causing Reactionary Lymphadenopathy but mostly it is painful and mobile.. In case if there is no recent history of infection then another cause can be Lymphoma formation.. You should consult a general surgeon and get evaluated and a biopsy can help in confirming the cause and treatment can be planned accordingly.. In case if it is reactionary lymphadenpathy then antibiotics can help.. In case of lymphoma radiotherapy and chemotherapy is advisable.. As of now do warm compresses over the lymph nodes..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr. Honey Nandwani Arora.
