What Causes Running Nose And Dry Cough?

My son is 4 1/2 years old, he used to have wheezing and cold, we used to nebulise with ventolin when showing symptoms of wheezing or normally gives ventolin with aerius or Zyrtac. Also as a preventive we are giving montair daily , most of the time he starts with running nose and dry cough , when it is prolonging only we start nebulising . But now he is having dry cough daily during midnight or early morning without any cold or running nose . we have consulted a pediatrician and pulmunologist , as per their diagnosis they prescribed to give fomonide 200 inhaler , montec ickid and banacide . Still we are confused to give all these ..plz advice is there anything to worry..and we can go ahead with these new medications
