What Causes Runny, Yellow, Foul Smelling Stools After A Shot?

My son just received his 12 month shots and has been having runny, yellow, foul smelling stools for about a week and a half. He is very fussy most of the time, and wakes up several times in the night crying. He has also passed stools in the middle of the night as well. What could he have?
