What Causes Sacs Of Fluid/blood On Arms After Being On Warferin?

I am a volunteer visitor at our hospital. i came across an elderly patient (who had been taken off warferin) who had sacs of fluid/blood on her arms (outside) She has not had a fall but did find herself lying against the bars of her bed.Her daughter was distraught about it and the nursing staff just said it was nothing to worry about!

actually warfarin decreases normal coagulation ability of blood due to which blood leaks from the vessels under the skin after very minor trauma or even sometimes without any trauma and collects in the form of sacs or pockets under the skin. such patients need proper monitoring of bloods clotting ability through test known as prothrombin time (PT) and dose of warfarin is adjusted accordingly.
