What Causes Scabs?

My 6 year old granddaughter is rather tall for her age and on the thin side. My daughter has noticed a couple of red scabbed areas on her spine....small pea size that have gone away or fell off and then come back in a slightly different area of the spine. She denies pain...no bleeding or discomfort. My daughter is worried.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

It may be impetigo contagiosa ... consult the dermatologist immediately to get the perfect diagnosis. Poor immunity may be responsible to have such relapsing bacterial infection. Paediatrician may be consulted to improve the general condition including immunity.

Hope this helps.
