my husband has been having issues with blood in his urine etc. he went to urologist..they did a ct and found thickening of bladder wall. he was then sent for scope...they were not even able to insert scope all the way due to what appears to be scar tissue. he will be going in for surgery in two weeks. my question..what causes scar tissue in a urethra?
It is typically if there has been urethral instrumentation in the past, e.g. transurethral resection of the prostate for benign hyperplasia.
