I have an almost pea sized round scar tissue on the tip of my tongue. I caused it years ago by biting off tiny pimple like things that formed everytime I drank orange juice. Anyway, now it's getting accidentally bit and that's caused it to get bigger. Can a dermotologist cut it off of can it be shaved down?
This is a fibrosis due to repeated injury to the tongue. The severity and size of the fibrosis need to be assessed and excision done. A biopsy may be necessary. Use a mild mouth wash and maintain proper oral hygiene.
Regards.
