What Causes Sclera To Be Swollen, Watery And Slightly Yellow?

My mother's sclera is swollen, slightly yellow and watery. She seemed to have got something in her eye and her eye started itching after a while now her right sclera is swollen and watery, slightyly yellow from the corners and also slightly red. What shall she use or do to make it better?

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello
It seems from the history that your mother is having redness, swelling associated with yellow discharge.
This indicates infection of the eyes in the form of acute conjunctivitis. The treatment is by use of antibiotics and antiinflammatory drugs.
Hence I advice you to consult your ophthalmologist for confirmation of diagnosis and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
