for about 5 weeks now I have had a tender to touch, quarter sized area of my forehead that causes no other symptoms but was not caused by any type of trauma. I am a 41 year old white American male. there are no lumps or bruising in the area and has neither grown or subsided. it is not painful unless touched.
I can understand your concern for the sensitive spot on forehead. After analyzing your query it appears to be folliculitis or simply saying infection of the oil galnd or might be insect bite. In my patients with your kind of condition I generally prescribe a cream containing mupirocin for two times and give an antihistamine such as cetrizine or loratdine for two times. You can get guidance from your treating dermatologist.
All the best.
