What Causes Sensitivity In Thigh, Groin And Hip Skin Areas?

For three days now only on my right thing/groin/hip area my skin is very sensitive. I took a hot bath last night and had to jump right out because my skin got very red. Any ideas on why this skin is so sensitive in those areas? I just turned 50 and don t know if that has anything to do with it. Thanks

Hello.
It could be a prodromal phase of herpes zoster , or any other sensory neuropathy, paraesthesia etc.
It is because the sensory nerve fibres, which relay the pain and touch sensations , become more sensitive.
You can send a photograph for better assessment.
If you find any rash or small blisters over that area, consult a dermatologist as soon as possible.

Good luck!
