What Causes Severe Abdominal Pain During 10 Weeks Of Pregnancy?

Hi I am 29 years and 10 weeks pregnant. I have been having abdominal pains since the begging of my pregnancy. I went to 2 GP's and 1 gynae and they all dont seem to find a problem. This pain is very severe on my right. Can i relax and believe them when they say i dont have a reason to panic or should i get another opinion?

Hi,
I understand your concern.
The pain in your abdomen must have some cause. It must be found & relieved. Your doctors have confirmed that there is no need to panic- still I would advise for investigations to find cause for the pain-
- Internal examination by a gynecologist can reveal any vaginal/pelvic inflammation.
- Get your urine examined for routine & microscopic including salts /crystals.( urinary infection/stones are to be excluded)
- Stool examination- routine & microscopic for infection/ amoebiasis/ worm infestation- which can produce such pain,
- USG lower abdomen for fetal well being/ any other problem in ovaries/adnexa.
* treatment of the cause found as per your doctor's advise ,would relieve you of pain & anxiety too.
* In case you there is no other cause for pain, I would advise- start taking tab. Duphaston 10 mg twice per day along with tab. Duvadelan half tablet three times a day till you complete 16 weeks of pregnancy.
