What Causes Severe Acne Problem Post A Tonsillectomy?
Had a tonsillectomy a week ago. I suffer with mild acne already, but since my tonsillectomy about 2 days after my skin has become really really bad and is only getting worse. Is this due to the IV and all the painkillers I was on working their way out or.?

Hi.
As per your case history of acne, my treatment advice is -
1. Avoid sun exposure and use a good sunscreen lotion with spf more than 30.
2. Apply a clindamycin gel like Glocin twice daily on affected skin.
3. Other treatment options are oral doxycyline, minocycline and isotretinoin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
