Yes I m on alprazolam, 1mg. 3 times a day, have been for the past 10 or 15 years, and I m also on methadone and have been for just as long. Now I m being told that I can no longer have the two together. I did great on the Medes. and no side affects. So what do I do about them cutting me off. I m having chest pains, anxiety attacts very bad .please help !! I don t have the $ s but thanks anyways!
3 mg of Alprazolam is still high. Benzodiazepines combined with opioids may lead to respiratory depression. Try changing the drug from Alprazolam to Lormetazepam. Also, consult the psychologist for relaxation techniques.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Rana Ahsan Javed,
