What Causes Severe Back Pain And Abdominal Bloating After Removing Gallbladder Stone?
Hi my name is Joanne. I just had a stone removed from my bile duct after years of complaining and 9 years after having my gallbladder taken out. I was told I may get pancreatitis. I feel a lot of back pain along with a stomach so hard an bloated I feel 10 months pregnant. Is this pancreatitis?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Bloating and dyspeptic symptoms are quite common after gall bladder removal. It is unlikely be pancreatitis. Pancreatitis may produce severe abdominal pain. You can do serum amylase to rule out pancreatitis. If the pain persist, better to get a CT scan done.
Hope I have answered your query.
