What Causes Severe Back Pain Radiating Down To Legs?

Hi, I was wondering if you could look at my MRI report and let me know if I should see a specialist. Also, could you let me know what it means? My doctor didn t go over it with me. He said to take some motrin and I would feel better. But, that does not help AT all. I was in a car accident a few months back and started having severe back pain that radiates down my legs. I have to bring a heating pad with me everywhere I go and it sucks because I am only 27 years old. Thank you very much for your time!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to sciatica pain. I suggest using painkillers such as Ibuprofen to relieve the pain. I also suggest gentle stretching exercises for relieve. Physical therapy can also be helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
