What Causes Severe Bleeding After Consuming The Noriday?
Hi, I've been on the combination pill for 3 months, I was Having headaches so I was proscribed noriday to try instead. I am 6 days in On trying the noriday and now I have severe bleeding and a sore abdomen. Is it just the change of pill? Or should I be more worried? Would love to hear your advice
Noriday tablets are progestin only pills. These are usually prescribed to women who are having side effects with combined hormonal pills or breastfeeding women. After changing the pill, it takes some time for regularization of the reproductive hormone levels so some irregularity in menstrual cycles can be seen during those days. And missing the pill or altering the time of intake can also lead to inter-menstrual spotting or bleeding. The possible factors that can help you are: - Try to take the pill at the same time every day without missing the pill. - Anti-fibrinolytic drugs can help in decreasing the inter-menstrual bleeding. - It may take one or two months to get adjusted for the new pill. - If the symptoms persist even after that better to discuss with your doctor regarding the changing of the contraceptive method.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
