What Causes Severe Bleeding With Clots In The Bladder?
Yes, my brother in law is living with us during his recovery. Since January has had several procedures to stop his bladder from bleeding, damage from radiation therapy for colon cancer 5 years ago. Nothing is working. He just had his second procedure of 2% embalming fluid injected into the bladder. He is still bleeding and with large clots. They said they can't cortorize (spelling?) anymore. He is only 60 years old and it doesn't seem that anyone knows what to do for him anymore. Is there anything else for him or does he have to get the bladder removed and neph tubes put in? I would appreciate any assistance with this situation...thank you Lin
I have evaluated query for your brother in law. Persistent bladder bleeding can be from the bladder problem or systemic effect of clotting factor disturbances.
For definite decision making, the case requires intensive work up to find out the basic cause and treat accordingly.
