What Causes Severe Burning Pain Behind Shoulder Blade And Heaviness In Head?
hi, i have a severe burning pain behind my shoulder blade and running up the back of my head and cannot lift my right arm up without the pain hurting, feels like my head is to heavy and i have to hold my chin up , my dad suffer with ostio arthuritus in the neck and spine
As this symptoms are indicative of the cervical spine disc Degenerative changes. Taking an MRI is advised. As it may reveal the soft tissue much better.
Due to nerve entrapment there will be spasm of the muscles of the neck and the Trapezius as well. Leading to change in sensation and pain as well.
Using cervical collar for stabilizing the cervical spine is advised. Hot water fermentation to the neck and upper back. Gentle kneeding massage for the Trapezius and shoulder blade region.
Static neck strengthening exercises and inter-scapular muscle strengthening exercises is advised. Shoulder stabilization can also be considered.
