What Causes Severe Chest Pain, Breath Shortness, Heart Racing When Trying To Sleep?
Hi I am a 31 year old male. And to tell you what has been going on with me is that I am having a lot of trouble sleeping as of late. When I get ready for bed, and the very second thst I am about to fall sleep I get this shooting pain in my chest. It comes on so suddenly that I sit straight up out of bed and I start yelling for help as I clutch my chest. My heart is racing and I am trying to catch my breath. Eventually I calm down and then everything is fine. When I attempt to fall back asleep, and again at that very moment that I am about to fall sleep the Same process repeats itself. Sometimes it happens 15 times a night according to my wife. Any thoughts on what this could be?
hi from your symptoms you could be suffering from panic anxiety disorder. other medical conditions to be ruled out like - hyperacidity - heart attack - blockage of blood flow. i would suggest you should be reviewed by a physician and done necessary tests like chest xray, ecg, echo, blood test to rule anemia before diagnosed to have anxiety disorder. hope to have answered your query thanking you.
