Hello dear, The complex of prolonged cough, blood stained sputum, poor apatite, and weight loss is highly suggestive of tuberculosis reactivation.Since AFB and PCR reported negative,we have to confirm the result by culture, which take at least 2 weeks.During this period, rifampicin and doxycyclin will take care. Need not worry. You are in the right track. Meanwhile, give him a healthy diet with enough fruit and veges.Avoid smoking and cod, dusty environment.Better to keep children from direct contact till the issue is resolved. I hope you will find this information useful.Thank you.
