What Causes Severe Depression And Phobic Thoughts After Taking Nexito 10 Mg?

my mother is 76 years old. she was taking 1 nexito 10 for depression but after some years her dpression increased and she also started having irrational phobic thoughts. she was advised to take two nexito 10 in morning and 0.5 mg risdone at night. Her dosage was later increased to 1 mg risdone, she takes medicines for hypertension and her sodium levels are 131. Should we give her the increased dose. At present she feels confused, has irrational thoughts, heaviness of head, temor in working. Doing routine tasks is laborious for her and she has great difficulty in handling irrational fears. Please advise.

i am really sorry to hear about your mother. now since some years your mother has been taking nexito 10.It is highly possible that because of its side effects she developed irrational phobic thoughts.It can happen especially in old patients.according to my experience i would not have increased the dose of nexito and keep it at 10 mg max and add only 0.5 mg of risdone at night.this would have really helped her and the side effects of risdone like confusion,tremors etc. would be minimal.hope this answers the question.
