What Causes Severe Dizziness And Nausea After A Liposuction?
Hello and HAPPY NEW YEAR! I had liposuction of my abdomen on December 22. I took the antibiotic Bactrim on the 22 and 23 with no issues. Woke up on the 24 with Severe Dizziness and Nausea and loss of appetite. I took Bactrim again later that day and realized that this antibiotic was the culprit. I am a very healthy individual who eats properly and works out 5 times per week. I took Benadryl on the 28 and 29th, due to my needing sleep. This seemed to worsen my dizziness and nausea. When I laydown it is the worst. Help Please, if you have any ideas.....
Hi. Thank for your query and wishes too, wishing you a happy new year. Noted your history of getting dizziness and nausea with Bactrim which you were given after a surgery of liposuction. Bactrim can cause an allergy but the type is usually as a fixed drug reaction, wherein one gets itchy black patches on the body. Anyways, since you have suspected so, the first rule is to stop the medicines and consult your treating Doctor immediately to get an emergency treatment for reaction and to get the clinical evaluation to rule out other causes as related to fat embolism which is a known complication of liposuction surgery and get treated accordingly.
