What Causes Severe Fatigue While Having Thyroid Disorder?

Hi I have had a lot of fatigue the last 4 years or longer. I ve seen my primary MD reguarding the issue and he has said that it is due to me thyroid. He has yet to put me on any meds for it. I m truly scared that it may turn into more that just my thyroid problem. what else can I do to get my MD to look into it more further? You can see that it is my thyroid as the lowe part on my neck is very large and at times it is hard for me to swallow. Any little pressure on my neck will cause it to flare up and bother me for days at a time.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
It is clear that your symptoms come from hypothyroidism. You should consider visiting a surgeon for thyroidectomy since your enlarged thyroid is causing trouble swallowing.
Also you should take thyroid hormone replacement therapy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
