Hello dear,
I understand your concern.Your chronic headache may be a 'Tension headache' or 'migraine' as they are the most commonly prevalent primary headaches epidemiologically.

Migraine is usually hemicranial(in half head),throbbing(pulse like),episodic headache, associated with nausea, photophobia(headache increase on exposure to light),phonophobia(headache increase on exposure to sound),visual aura(seeing flashing zig zag lights) and associated with a trigger factor(headache precipitated by some trigger factor like stress, sunlight, smoking, alcohol or any food item).

Tension headache is usually persistent headache, diffuse, holocranial and improves on wearing a pressing band on the scalp.

You can get a Computerised tomographic scan(CT scan) of head done to rule out the secondary causes of headache, as advised by your physician.I hope it helps.
