I had gotten my period January 31st this year. It lasted for 3 days and was much lighter than normal with no cramping which I usually have cramps every period. I usually have regular periods. I was beginning to think I was pregnant because my boobs hurt, my period was short and light, I had headaches more often, it just seemed that was a possibility. Then Monday February 15th I got my period again and it was the same way, 3 days long and lighter with no overwhelming cramping. I was wondering if you could help me figure out why. My next period should be due at the end of the month or in the very beginning of march (should be if I didnt just have this one feb. 15th) Please and Thank you.
Hello, Thanks for writing to us. Your symptoms suggest that you are perhaps going through a hormone imbalance. Pregnancy also should be excluded/confirmed through a trans-vaginal sonogram which will simultaneously help to detect the status of the pelvic organs. Once clarified further management can be planned. Stress, sudden weight changes, infections and use of certain medications are other causes for such spotting. Local causes like erosion and polyp should also be excluded. Hope this helps.
