my 21 year old daughter has had a headache for 4 days, fever, chills, body sore, eye lids are swollen and lymph nodes swollen also has a white tongue and throat with some red patches. took her to urgent care 2 days ago and they gave her antibiotics for a right ear infection however she had been complaining about a bad headache for 2 days and 1 swollen/bump on right side of her neck (1/2 way between clavical and jaw on neck) she been on the antibiotic, fluids, rest for 2 1/2 full days but is feeling worse, sweats followed by freezing and shivering...

Hello,

She can have upper respiratory tract infection as per history. If vomiting and affected vision like compliant present then rule out meningitis like lesion. You need to investigate further with chest x ray, full CBC and CRP estimation. As condition is worsening she needs to be admitted in hospital and intravenous antibiotic given if needed.
