What Causes Severe Itchiness In The Vagina?
What could be causing almost non-stop itching around the vaginal area? The doctor keeps saying it is a bacterial yeast infection but none of the creams, ointments or intravenous medications are working. I am almost at the end of my rope. I am 60 years old and have been going to the doctor for at least the last 2 years with this problem. I get some relief if I pat myself with a cold towel. But only for a short amount of time.

At this age, the vaginal internal skin has become very thin and the protective bacteria in the vagina are no more present there. Hence the fungal infection sets in frequently. Along with the anti fungal medicines, insert Lactobacilli vaginal ovules in the vagina every day. Also Lactobacilli perineal wash will give you much relief.
