What Causes Severe Itching All Over The Body?

My husband is a heart patient, and for the last couple of nights he has been getting whelks on his body in different places that itch really bad. When this first happened we were concerned about blood clots, but these whelps come and go. We are putting cortisone cream these whelps to stop the itching. This starts showing up late afternoon and night. He took medicines this morning and has not taken his night medicines. Thank you.

Dear madam

Welcome to Healthcaremagic

Your husband is having urticaria which has a tendency to wax and wane. Giving oral anti allergic medication like levocetirizine helps in nearly all such cases. hydrocortisone cream also helps but the best help comes from oral anti allergic medicines. The cause of these may be use of certain medicines for which you need to consult his cardiologist or at times no specific cause is found out. the good thing is that mostly these go away after some days.
Please rest assured and reassure him as well. Best of everything to both of you.
