What Causes Severe Itching With Blood Filled Blisters?
I have been itching excessively for a month or so now. It seems to be all over my body but not at the same time. Worst time is on my left foot. I was itching it so bad that I got a blood blister. Now that that has healed for the most part, I seem to be getting a group or blisters or warts (Cant really tell because they are on the bottom of my foot) around the area the blood blister was. What could these bumps be and why would the be there?
Hi. As per your case history you may be having podo - pompholyx. It is chronic relapsing condition with bothersome itching. It can be controlled with regular care. My treatment advice is - 1. Don't squeeze the blisters, it will worsen the condition. 2. Wash both feet once a day with water contains potassium permanganate in dilution of 1:10000. 3. Apply a potent steroid cream like clobetasol propionate twice daily. Take antihistamine like levocetrizine for itching. 4. Other treatment options include oral antibiotics, oral short course steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr.harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
