What Causes Severe Jerking Muscle Movements In Body?

I have severe muscle movements in the left side on my body to include which includes the rt. shoulder and arm and jerking my neck to the right very hard and then back to the rt. Causes pain, especially in my jaw from the intense jerking. Happens on reclining preventing sleep all night.
Didn't know there was a charge until I filled out all this information.
