What Causes Severe Leg Pain After An Injury?

I recently got a bad road rash on my left leg. I saw a Dr and they advised it is healing properly and not infected. The Dr put me on an antibiotic just as a precaution for a skin infection. I feel my leg is still healing well and is not infected. The problem I am having is pain in the front of my leg. The pain starts when I go from sitting to standing. If I am standing and walking the pain is not bad but as soon as I stop the pain starts. It is a throbbing pain in the front of my leg and it hurts bad enough I start walking again to make it go away. There is no joint pain or bruising on my leg.
