General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
HI, I understand your concern. Pain in lower abdomen, being increased with starting of periods & getting worse day by bay seems to be something which needs e mediate attention. Though the pain can be due to many causes like severe bladder pain/ stones, Menstrual pain, incomplete abortion, pelvic inflammation.Your history points to simple menstrual pain or pelvic inflammation.( as you don't have delayed period, urinary infection) Rest, fomentation of lower abdomen, a pill of Dysmen forte after food should give you some relief, you should contact a gynecologist ,get internally examined/ investigated & start with specific treatment after getting final diagnosis. Thanks.
