What Causes Severe Lower Left Stomach Pain And Faecal Incontinence?
For two days i had severe lower left stomach pain and it felt like i had to poop but all that came out was mucus and blood. the severe stomach pain stopped, but it still feels like i have to go but i can't. Also if this means anything I have Ankylosing Spondylitis and secondary Chondrolysis I am taking enbrel and I am younger than 18 but older then 10, white, and am female.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. Severe lower left abdominal pain with tenesmus and mucus and blood in stool indicate that you have severe colitis. Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation: Get the stool and blood tests done. Take a course of an antibiotic, metronidazole and probiotics. Take symptomatic treatment in the form of an antispasmodic. Supportive treatment in the form of multivitamins and electrolyte solution along with plenty of oral fluids. Take boiled and cooled water. Homemade foods only as outside food can increase your problems. Hopefully this will resolve you issues; if there is no complete relief within 5 days then you need a colonoscopy and additional treatment.
