What Causes Severe Pain After Bilateral Bunionectomy Surgery?

2 yrs ago I had bilateral bunionectomy surgery. over the past 2 days I have pain when I walk mainly when i apply pressure to the ball of my foot. i have acsess to xray & i took xray of affected area. on xray when foot turned up on side it appears that the 2 screws in the big toe have pretruded through the bone into the soft fleshy tissue beneath. i can not find xray images such as this to compare because this may be normal for post bunionectomy xrays ( i should have taken xray of the other foot to compare but did not).
