What Causes Severe Pain And Discomfort In The Right Foot?

I am having severe pain and discomfort with my right foot. It almost seems as though I have fractured a toe or the top of my foot. It is so, so painful. I have never experienced a pain like this in my foot. It is a piercing pain even while I am immobile. What do you think this pain is a signal of?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I will suggest you to undergo X-ray foot AP and lateral view. Also get assessed by an orthopedic surgeon as he will examine to exclude any tendon or vascular supply problem. If no problem found by such methods, then last option is MRI foot.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
