What Causes Severe Pain And Weakness In The Extremities?
Recently, I have had increasing pain and weakness in my extremities - especially on my left side. Nothing has happened for there to be an increase of pain, and I can t figure out what might be causing it. I have 9 herniated discs, spread out through the C,T, and L areas, I have extensive nerve damage starting at L3/L4 and manifesting in my left leg, I had 3 surgeries to correct fasciitis in my left calf, and was recently treated in the ER for facial cellulitis. The majority of the problems originated with an MVA in 2009.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
The reason for your pain are the herniated discs. While cervical disc cause pain in upper limb extremities lumbar discs are responsible for lower limb extremities pain. The herniated discs cause compression over the exiting nerve roots and cause pain in earlier stages and weakness in later stages. You might need an operation for it which would be decided by your MRI images.
Hope my answer would be helpful to you.
