What Causes Severe Pain In Feet After Lumbar Surgeries?
I have had two lumbar surgeries, one with metal implants, rods and screws. Every morning when I try to get out of bed I have severe pain and stiffness that lasts for several hours after being up on my feet. Bending over or kneeling down really aggravates the lower back pain and also sitting or lying down causes pain. Is it possible that something with the metal implants is causing my problem? I would appreciate any insight you have that may be causing the problem so l can live a better life. Thank you much, Steve
Hello,
I have studied your case and i think that this pain is due to nerve irritation after surgery. Stiffness is also due to surgery as there is lot of scar tissue in the back and that is why you can feel tight ness.
I would suggest you hot water fomentation and physiotherapy, swimming if possible for you than will be great exercise.
You can also take Muscle relaxant like Myoril and Myospaz to take care of stiffness of the spine.
If still there is stiffness than you might need x ray to find out the cause.
You can share your X ray report with me, I will try my best to help you.
Thanks
