What Causes Severe Pain In The Hips Upon Standing?
I have extreme pain in my hip when I get up from sitting. Even a short time sitting. I can barely walk, but I walk it off for a few minutes, and outcomes away. It also hurts when I move a certain way. Almost brings me to my knees.I have been dealing with this for years, but it goes away for awhile than comes back. Now it is the worst it has ever been. What do you think is causing this.
Possible causes of pain in the hip are:
1.Arthritis:osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis are among the most common causes of hip pain, especially in older adults.
2.Hip fractures. With age, the bones can become weak and brittle. 3.Bursitis.
4.Tendinitis.
5.Muscle or tendon strain.
6.Hip labral tear.
Until examination is done, it is difficult to say what it is.
Weight reduction, regular exercise, intake of calcium supplements may useful. If symptoms not improved get it done X ray hip joint and treated accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
