What Causes Severe Pain Under Ribcage With Bloating?
sever pain lasting 5-6 hours at a time just under the ribcage and bloating. sometimes working its was into the back and sides. cannot eat drink lie flat or even sit up sometimes. can feel this happen before the pain gets worse then it gets unbearable to even comprehend

Noted the history of severe pain lasting for 5-6 hours at a time just under the rib cage - referred to back and sides, can not eat or drink, lie flat or even sit up sometimes, can feel this happen before the pain gets worse.... unbearable sometimes. As per the history your have provided this looks to be due to an inflammatory process in the abdomen can can be due to the following reasons: Gall bladder or liver or pancreas pathology. Intestinal inflammation of colon. I would advise you the following: Tests of blood, urine and stool. Ultrasonography and followed by contrast enhanced CT scan of the abdomen. These investigations along with clinical evaluation and examination by a General Surgeon can get you the proper diagnosis and give the plan for further management which can be medical or surgical depending upon the diagnosis.
