What Causes Severe Rectum Pain And Blackouts With Cold Sweats ? How Are These Treated ?
Hi Doc I had a severe rectum pain last night it came within 5min then I felt light headed and went and sat down and then black out for about 2min , came round and was sweating lots (a cold sweat) and my hands and head very pale then after 20min i was ok and still ok now. I am a male 66 years and wieghing 14 and half stone, Never had this before ????

Hi Brian ,
the black out can be due to severe pain (vaso-vagal syncope). You should get your
rectum examined to rule out any growth in the rectum/anal canal. Also make sure you are not losing any blood in stools.
